Candidate Eligibility
Educational Standards
Completion of 3-4 years of relevant healthcare education from a recognized international institution.
Professional Registration
Must hold a valid, current registration with your home country’s nursing or midwifery regulatory body.
Clinical Experience
A minimum of 5 years of post-graduation work experience in clinical settings like medical or clinical wards or elderly care.
The Life Requirements
- Language Commitment - You must be highly motivated to learn Norwegian. Training begins in your home country and continues after arrival.
- Driver’s License - Many municipal roles (especially home care) require a passenger car license. If you don't have one, you must be willing to obtain it.
- Life in the Districts - Most opportunities are in smaller municipalities. These offer great stability and nature, but they are quieter than big cities.
- Independence - Norwegian healthcare values professionals who can work independently and take initiative.
